The Backload Properties form allows the user to specify the necessary files for computing IR Backloads or Sink Temperatures to simplify the thermal scene surrounding a component.  Options are included to degrade the Sink Temperatures based on testing constraints.  The outputs are ASCII files with Nodes, Conductors, Arrays, and Logic suitable for use in network solvers as well as the processing of these files as DataSets.

TARPTM Backload Output

  • Backloads and Equivalent Sinks are methods for providing simplistic representations of complicated radiative interfaces for a subset of nodes/surfaces
  • Backloads/EqSinks require (at a minimum) radiation couplings and temperature predictions from an integrated model
  • Environmental heating rates may also be included in the calculations
  • Calculate.
        - Sigma and Toffset
        - Numbering
        - Nodes to calculate
  • Using Files
        - Radiation Coupling
        - Temperature
        - Heat Rates
        - Output
        - Validation
  • Validation file displays all radiation couplings and their contribution to the calculations
  • Estimation of Gray Body Sinks
  • Constraint of Lowest Sink Temperature
  • Calculation of T4 average
  • Support for Group calculation of EqSinks weigthed by RadkSum
